Website Building Tools
This site was initially constructed using the Site-Build-It! (SBI) building system. Shortly after the launch in May 2009, the site transitioned to being almost completely custom-built, although still predominantly hosted on SBI. Pages were initially designed in the free webpage builder PageBreeze, however, now Microsoft Frontpage is used almost exclusively. We still use the tools and resources that SBI provides, as they are, in our opinion, some of the best on the web.
Web Hosting
This Site is primarily hosted on Site Build It, but parts of it are hosted on lunarpages, which offers a great deal of space, bandwidth, and tools for a very low price. We like the built-in ability to install a forum or blog. The Winning-Fitness.com Fitness Forum is hosted there.
Shopping Cart and Payment Processing
This site uses the ultimate shopping cart - SecureNetShop - for all of the shopping cart activity. We use Applied Merchant, an Authorize.net partner, for all of the payment processing. We previously used PayPal and e-junkie, but as our site and complexity grew we had to move to more comprehensive solutions.
